So I've been volunteering with The Young Women's Drumming Empowerment Project over the summer and I must say it's been very enlightening & enjoyable. We held our showcase premier last weekend and the young ladies were simply amazing. You had to be there to see it. 2009 BFRC @ National Mall

WOW...what can I say, I had an extroadinarily wonderful time this weekend @ the Black Family Reunion Celebration held by the NCNW. This was my first attendance & performance at a BFRC event and it was one I will never forget. Just imagine your own personal family and what it's like when you get together for a family reunion and imagine that times 10. I also got to see Dr. Height speak again which was a gift all by itself. (:") I would like to send shouts out to the (Teen Tent) Janice Ferebee, Director of the Bethune Program Development Center @ NCNW , thank you for having me as a performer and being such a beautiful spirit. Shelley Bivins (Family Values Tent) thank you for having me, it was indeed a pleasure. To Gospel Rap Artist, Mission Oriented , I really enjoyed your performance and I look forward to working with you. Northeast Performing Arts Group & Coyaba Dance Theatre were AWESOME, AMAZING & EXCITING!!!! It was also a pleasure to have Rev. Lennox Yearwood, Jr. President of the Hip Hop Caucus say a few words.
